Records Department

Welcome to the Records Department of the Essex Police Department. Our department is responsible for the storage and maintenance of police records at the Essex Police Department. Our department also handles all requests related to police records.

Requesting Records

Important notes to know when requesting reports include:

  • Officer's reports (non-criminal), to include accidents, may not be completed for 30 days from the date of the incident.
  • Accident reports which resulted in a fatality can take substantially longer, sometimes months, due to the amount of investigation required.
