Special Election - November 2, 2021
Voter Registration: If you are not already registered in Essex, you may print and fill out this application https://sos.vermont.gov/media/nesb43yw/2017-voter-app.pdf and either mail the completed form to 81 Main Street or leave in drop box at the Town Office. New Vermont residents must provide proof of residence (see instructions on form). You can also register online at https://olvr.vermont.gov/ or at the polling place for same day registration. All that is required for voter registration is your VT driver’s license number, or if you do not have a VT driver’s license, the last four digits of your social security number.
Early/Absentee Ballots: Ballots will be mailed to all active registered voters in the Village of Essex Junction Prior to the date of the special election. If you do not receive a ballot by October 13, notify the Clerk's office by calling 802-879-0413, option 6, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Clerk's office is able to contact voters if returned ballots are defective for certain reasons and allow the voter to make corrections. This process can be expedited by providing an e-mail address on file with the Clerk's office. Please stop by, call, or e-mail the Clerk's office to add your e-mail on file.
