Since graduating from Castleton State College, Tracey has worked in the Information Technology field for 20 years and is currently an IT Director with the State of Vermont. She is experienced in process and project management, contract negotiation and oversight, and competitive bidding processes. Tracey is also a Certified Public-Sector Manager, having graduated from the Vermont Certified Public Manager Program (VCPM) in June 2020. Since beginning her career with the State of Vermont in 2005, she has been actively involved with the Vermont State Employees’ Association (VSEA). Tracey is a past member of the VSEA Board of Trustees as well as the Non-Management Unit Bargaining Team.
While previously living in South Burlington, Tracey served on the Planning Commission, multiple committees, and as an elected Justice of the Peace from 2012 until 2017. After moving to Essex in 2017, she was appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment in December 2018 and was elected as a Justice of the Peace in November 2020 prior to her election to the Selectboard in March 2021.
