Juneteenth in Essex

ALL are welcome to a Juneteenth Celebration in Essex!

Try some delicious honey-glazed cornbread and gather with friends to celebrate Black culture, listen to featured keynote speaker and poet Rajnii Eddins, and musical entertainment from multi-talented Toussaint St. Negritude from Jaguar Stereo.

Explore the Fort Ethan Allen Museum and learn about the experiences of the 10th Calvary Buffalo Soldiers who arrived on July 28, 1909 bringing growth and diversity to Essex and the region. The Fort represents an important piece of Vermont diversity as well as military history. Admission is FREE thanks to the Fort Ethan Allen Industrial Park and Executive Director, William L. Parkinson.
