Indian Brook Park

150 Indian Brook Road, Essex, Vermont

Park Features: Indian Brook Park is a 740-acre community park featuring a 60-acre reservoir, trails, a non-motorized boat launch, picnic areas and parking. An ideal location to fish, hike, horseback ride or run! The park is bordered to the northwest by over 600 acres of Winooski Valley Park District land, including Colchester Pond.

A park pass is required. Passes can be purchased at 75 Maple Street, Mon - Fri, 7:30 am - 4 pm. Download the Indian Brook Pass Application Form.

At this time, residents of the Essex community can purchase a pass at any time during the year. Passes are valid for the calendar year and can be purchased on a 1yr or 2yr renewal. Due to the love for the park, passes are limited to Essex residents, as well as those non-residents who have had a renewed pass since 2012. New passes to non-residents cannot be purchased at this time.

Residents of the Essex community are able to purchase a park pass upon proof of residency. The park is monitored with staff for park entrance for approximately 5 months out of the year; however, our department cares and maintains for the park year-round. Entering the park without an active pass is trespassing Town property. All of our other parks and trails are available to the public at no cost.

Please remember that any active pass holder must have a pass that matches their vehicle plate number along with current household information. Passes are non-transferable.
